Dandy Season Dies
November 6th, 2002

I think of a good year when the BCS lloks like a sham that it is. The last two years have been alright with major problems with Miami going to the National Championship game when it beat Florida State, or Washington who beat Miami. Then last, Oregon with one loss was the most logical pick for the national championship instead of Nebraska, who gave up more than 50 points before the national championship game. The Cornhuskers got thoughly embarrassed, but the BCS is still alive. This year I was hoping for 6 teams to be undeafeted at the end of the season for more than one team to be mad, however, that came crashing down last weekend when I was at the Oklahoma/Colorado game gasping at the scores as they came up on the scoreboard in the 40 degree rain. When the season ends and there is not single team left without a loss and 9 teams with one loss, I will be watching as 7 schools are shut out of the championship game and I will laugh at the BCS sweating. If only it would happen though, Oklahoma will not lose and therefore, we will be back to the last couple of years of a couple of one loss schools being mad but not really mattering since the national champion will most likely be Oklahoma and they will be undefeated, but that is perfectly fine with me since they are my alma mater.

Speaking of Washington, who by the way is still the last team to beat Miami, how bad can they get? I still remember when they had the game won against Michigan and now look at them. I don't think they will one more game the rest of the season. I can't wait to see lil' Ricky get canned. Maybe he shouldn't have just laughed off the Michigan loss so easily.

I don't know who will win the Oregon/Wazzou game this weekend but all I can say is anything can happen up in the Pullose. I think it may come down to who can have their hands on the ball at the end of the game. Oh and one more thing, how funny would it be if Notre Dame lost this weekend after the BC loss.

I'm out
