Toid's Roundup
September 15, 2002 by Toid

What another crazy weekend of football! I think that's what makes college football so exciting to watch. Let's recap what happened in this weeks picks.

Gugals burned down the house with a blazing 8-2 record last week, shattering everybody else. Who else thought Penn St. was going to come out and beat Nebraska. None other than Gugs. He not only got that BP, but he got the Bonus game as well. Let's just say Gugals had a good week. *smile* Trojan smelled the Notre Dame upset over Michigan when nobody else did, and finished 7-3 for the week. Not bad. Aaron and I were banking on South Carolina and Lou Holtz to come through there at the end, which they almost did (got to Georgia's one yard line) before they fumbled it away. So close. Oh well, there's no shame for us there in our upset special pick. If it comes down to the last play with one yard to go for the win (you know he would have made the PAT), it was there. But nevertheless, Aaron and I only banked in on the Bonus Game. Everybody missed the Michigan St. upset by Cal. This was quite the upset, almost as much of a massacre as the USC/Colorado game. That game (USC/Colorado) was a slaughter. I saw fans leaving Folsom Field a long time before the game was actually over. I thought I could go get something to eat while the game was in progress and not get stuck in traffic. Boy was I wrong!

Gugals and Trojan went at it in the articles this last week. I've told the both of them from now on, only write articles that talk about new things, and not to slam each other. Gugs put it best when he said I didn't want my site turning into a Jerry Springer show. However, his article was still funny to read. Aaron said he about fell out of his swivel chair upon reading it. I'm looking forward to everybody's articles this week about the upcoming games, heisman voting, or whatever else you feel like talking about.

I've put up the new picks for the week, I hope everybody get's their votes in, I had to let Aaron's poll stay open for an extra 45 min while he put a score on the Game of the Week because he didn't have one. Good luck and I'll see you again next Sunday.
