Toid's Roundup
September 12, 2002 by Toid
It's that time of the week again. Time for me to recap the past weekends events and comment on the next. So let's get started.
Last weekend was a wild one in Norman. Many fans didn't think the Sooners could pull it off in the end. Alabama deserved to win the game, because the Sooners seemed to stop playing after the second quarter. However, Oklahoma's experience pulled out their first ever win against 'Bama. The Oregon game was just as crazy, however, since I was glued to the Oklahoma game, I didn't get to see Oregon's comeback against Fresno St. I've had to rely on Gugs' comments along with Sportscenter highlights to fill the void that took place (or didn't take place) in Corvalis. The Miami-Florida game turned out to be Miami winning by the equivalent of the national debt and Florida being on the tax paying end of that one. Colorado's starting quarterback got taken out of the game with a concussion, however he might be back to play this weekend against USC. Let's move on to the analysts predictions, and see how they turned out.
After our week one of predictions, Gugals and I are neck and neck. We went 7-3 both failing to get the Game of the Week and our upset specials. I did get a BP for the Arkansas game, which was picked by Gugals to be the Bonus game. This weekend is a little more interesting. We have four analysts now, however Aaron is too busy with work to get his picks in. He still has 24 hours. But his time is ticking. Everybody seems to be going with Ohio St. in the Game of the Week. Who knows though, Washington St. could come out of the sand on the west coast and pull it out.
If you wish to respond to Gugals article, feel free to email him directly, and if you feel like he insulted you so much that you have to write your own article, do so! Here at Toid.net anything goes (for the most part) and I'm sure he's ready to take you on in an argument. I've seen him argue with one of the great debators of our time -- Phillip.
Well, that's all for this edition, I shall be back next week to answer questions and play moderator. See ya!
